A family-owned business with hands on management has allowed clients to also grow with the company. The company is located in the New York/Long Island Metropolitan area. The main office originated in Pitkin Avenue in Brooklyn, moved to Richmond Hill, Queens and is now in Lynbrook, Long Island, New York. During Tax Season (January to April) the firm grows to three offices: Manhattan (New York), Lynbrook (Nassau), and Hauppauge (Suffolk). The firm each year prepares over 3,500 individual Tax Returns. The client base is extremely diverse and encompasses every conceivable occupation. Wolfsohn has responded with fully computerized Tax Returns and research tools. Employees attend over 100 hours of educational seminars each year to keep current with tax laws and trends. The firm now prepares Tax Filings in all fifty states and many foreign countries. This has encouraged the Wolfsohn Organization to be fluent in other languages. It is not uncommon to be on the phone with three or four different clients in different countries during a single day. With the growth of our individual tax base, so has our corporate/fiduciary/estate/gift and payroll/sales tax filings. We take small business set up very seriously. The first steps are the most important. We have streamlined paperwork so that a new business can be all set up in less than a week. From bookkeeping systems to corporate structure, we hold our clients' hands throughout. We also use a new business welcome kit that handholds the new business owner. Finally, due to the increased collection efforts of the IRS and localities, we have set up a Lein/Levy Abatement Service to represent clients in their hour of need.
